As a San Diego wedding photographer, I get SO excited whenever I get to travel for destination weddings, especially to a place as beautiful as Hawaiʻi!! From getting ready at the gorgeous Four Seasons Resort O’ahu at Ko Olina to celebrating at Lanikuhonua, their day was full of vibrant colors, so much love, and all the tropical goodness. Getting to capture love stories in beautiful places like this is one of my favorite parts of what I do!

Hayden & Kelcee’s Wedding Morning in Hawaiʻi

The morning started at Four Seasons Resort Oʻahu at Ko Olina, the perfect spot to get ready for the big day. The resort has such a beautiful, relaxed feel, making it easy to soak in all the excitement! Plus, the morning is always filled with so much excitement and anticipation. While everyone gets ready, there’s time to hang out, laugh, and enjoy being together. Lanikuhonua is such a dreamy spot for an O’ahu destination wedding! With gorgeous ocean views, lush greenery, and tropical surroundings, it has that effortless Hawaii beauty that makes everything feel a little more special. Plus, its location in Ko Olina makes it the perfect setting for a romantic wedding by the ocean.

I loved how Hayden and Kelcee’s bright tropical florals popped against the greenery and blue ocean. They also added such a fun, personal touch with a custom surfboard welcome sign! It was the perfect little nod to the island and brought some laid-back Hawai’i vibes into their wedding design. It brings me so much joy when couples incorporate details that reflect the place they’re getting married! And when it comes to wedding photos, Lanikuhonua has no shortage of gorgeous backdrops. From the tropical landscape to the oceanfront views, there are so many beautiful spots to capture all the little moments throughout the day. It’s easy to see why this venue is a favorite for couples planning an Oahu destination wedding. It has that perfect mix of tropical charm, natural beauty, and effortless elegance.

The Dreamiest O’ahu Destination Wedding

One of the best things about a destination wedding is getting to bring all your favorite people together in such a beautiful place. Everyone gets to slow down, enjoy the surroundings, and make memories along the way. And for Hayden and Kelcee, getting married in Hawai’i made their day even more meaningful! Kelcee grew up on the island and still has family there, so getting married on the island of O’ahu was about more than just the beautiful views. It was a chance to celebrate their love in a place that already meant so much to her, surrounded by the people they love most. When a wedding location holds so much meaning, it makes the day that much more special <3
