Marykate and Joe’s September wedding at Loft Lucia was the kind of Chicago celebration that felt both effortlessly elegant and deeply personal. Tucked into Chicago’s West Loop, Loft Lucia provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with thoughtful details, joyful moments, and the unmistakable excitement of two people beginning a new chapter together.
Their color palette brought the space to life with rich chartreuse and maroon, accented by touches of greenery and berry. The combination felt unexpected and beautiful and warm enough for an early fall celebration while still bringing a playful, modern energy to the day! Against the industrial character of the West Loop, the colors added depth, personality, and a sense of romance throughout the celebration.
A Quiet Morning Full of Excitement
Before the celebration began, Marykate’s getting-ready moments were quiet and intimate, filled with the kind of anticipation that makes a wedding day feel so special. Between bursts of laughter, meaningful conversations, and little moments of stillness, there was a palpable excitement building in the room.
These slower moments offered a glimpse into the heart of the day. Marykate surrounded by the people closest to her, taking in the morning and savoring the anticipation before everything unfolded.
A Warm and Colorful September Celebration
As the day picked up, so did the color (seriously.. my favorite wedding day color scheme to date!). MaryKate and Joe’s chartreuse, maroon, and berry palette brought all the personality, with rich September tones mixed with that unexpected pop of chartreuse. It felt playful, colorful, and totally them! Proof that wedding colors don’t have to take themselves too seriously 😉
And then there was Loft Lucia…. With its cool industrial-meets-modern vibe, it was the perfect backdrop for all that color and romance. The space brought a little Chicago edge to the day while still feeling warm, intimate, and ready to party. Basically, the perfect setting for MaryKate and Joe to celebrate in their own way <3
